Here's what is going on with Americana Revue Night at The Station in Carrboro

Effingham with Mark Holland

Here's what is going on with Americana Revue Night at The Station in Carrboro. MagCo transitioning out, SST in. Press Release quote:

In May of 2010, The Station at Southern Rail in Carrboro launched what would become a very successful recurring local music series titled Americana Revue Night. The event would be held every second Thursday and would feature the residency of a newly formed Magnolia Collective as well as a guest act to be hand-picked for each show from the local Americana stock. The event found early success with a committed base of followers whom rapidly accepted Magnolia Collective and revered the date as a monthly gathering point for local Americana/Folk/Rock. Across the past eighteen months of the series, the guest list has included such acts as Lizzy Ross, Some Army, Shipwrecker, Gasoline Stove, and Effingham.

Magnolia Collective have announced that they will now focus the next few months on the completion of their debut EP Ghost Stories and have handed the reins of Americana Revue Night to Chapel Hill folk string trio Sinful Savage Tigers. Sinful Savage Tigers begin their residency as featured performer for Americana Revue on Thursday November 10th following the release of their second LP, The Last Night of the Revels...which coincidentally will be celebrated with a release party on the Southern Rail front porch on Saturday Oct 22 with guest Phil Cook and His Feet.

The transition in residency from Magnolia Collective to Sinful Savage Tigers left the October date for The Americana Revue open, a date which will be filled by Durham folk rock band Effingham who will host the event on its regularly scheduled date of October 13th and will feature Mark Holland (Jennyanykind) as guest performer.
