Kim Gray of Misbehaved Records Press Release Re; Tonight's Show at The Pinhook

On Saturday June 5, 2010, Misbehaved Records presents a nine band, two stage, eight hour music festival benefiting their friend Chris Pope, bass player for Blood Red River. Chris Pope was diagnosed with leukemia in March of this year and is currently receiving hospital treatments while maintaining full participation as a musician in his band. Prior to his diagnosis, he was laid off from his job due to a lagging economy. To make the monetary situation even more dire, Chris is also uninsured. At this time, he still has to have chemotherapy treatment and a place to reside. The festival and its purpose serve as witness that Triangle musicians, venues, promoters, and fans believe in a self sustaining music culture and are willing to stand up and fight to protect it, especially when it involves a single member who is in need of help.

Answering the call for help by performing at the event will be Barron, Beloved Binge, Bitterman, Jeremy Blair from Effingham, Sequoya, Somerset Frisby, The Mighty Good Ship, and The Virgo 9. Blood Red River will head line the event and entertainment by burlesque troupe The Hellcat Vixens will be showcased between sets.

Sat. June 5, The Pinhook, 117 W.Main St, Durham, NC.

$5 suggested, donations of any amount accepted. The show starts at 7:00 PM.
