I snapped these pics of Magnolia Collective rehearsal about two and a half hours into a jingly jangly four hour Americana roots jimmy jam. Superb musicians every one, these guys traded banjos, mandolins, and six strings back and forth all night and came up with sweetly delivered arrangements of covers and originals on the spot. Our song "Which Side" got a fresh Americana arrangement for tonight and it's going to be neato. Highlights for me last night was a. playing with these guys, are are complete bad asses on their instruments, b. learning my favorite Gambling The Muse songs. I sing along with "Mocking Birds" and "All the Leaves" when I'm watching GTM perform, having a chance to rock them out with this crew was killer. If tonight's Americana Revue at Southern Rail is even close to how cool last night's rehearsal was, we're all i for a great time. The music starts after the UNC game and no cover as always.
