Effingham, Jordan & the Sphinx, The Itchy Hearts at The Pinhook Thursday Feb 24th.
The Itchy Hearts are a bluegrassy Americana outfit from Richmond whom we know only from e-mailing each other since November about doing some shows. First try at Jack Sprat no-go'd cause it was December we (Effingham) were blown to the four corners of the state and couldn't quite connect for the show, but THIS HERE ONE at The Pinhook on Feb 24 is a go. Andy with Itchy hit us up last week and we locked in pretty quick. This will be the first show we play since our drummer Dave has left for Charlotte. The legendary drummer Mark Holland (Applesauce, Jennyanykind) has joined up and will be playing the first set with us on the 24th.
If I am reading correctly, The Itchy Hearts are on tour and playing winding their way to Austin for SXSW music week with a close to home refueling stop here in Durham. The Pinhook added Jordan & the Sphinx to the bill shortly afterward much to our excite. You may recall we played Jordan's CD release last year at Broad Street and we connected for a show at Motorco early in December too.
Not sure what order the bands are playing yet, I am guessing there will be a five dollar cover. Check back here before the show and I'll edit these details and firm it up.
